Northwest Wayne FAN meets the first Monday of every month from 6 to 8 pm at the Hype Recreation Center of Western Wayne, located at 4635 Howe Rd., Wayne, MI 48184. If you're unable to attend, the forums will also be available live via our Facebook page at THIS LINK. 

The Northwest Wayne County FAN chapter began with a series of conversations—between parents grieving the loss of children to substance use, families navigating complex challenges with loved ones, and professionals witnessing a growing need for local support. As FAN chapters formed across the state—in Macomb, Genesee, Kent, and throughout Oakland County—it became clear that northwestern Wayne County needed something similar. A small group of residents, each personally impacted in different ways, came together with a shared goal: to bring that kind of connection and understanding to our own community.

Far too often, families face these challenges in isolation, unsure where to turn. We want to offer a space where individuals and families feel less alone and more informed. Our monthly forum brings people together to hear guest speakers and personal stories that help build understanding around the realities of substance-related issues.

Our goal is to promote safety and well-being through information-sharing, local partnerships, and meaningful community engagement. By collaborating with public safety, schools, legal professionals, and care providers, we hope to contribute to broader conversations and practical approaches that address these challenges in constructive and compassionate ways.
