Vice President
Dara Cockrum

Dara Cockrum is a Senior Specialty Representative for Dexcel Pharma USA and a graduate of Central Michigan University. She brings 26 years of experience in the healthcare field, including more than 12 years working closely with physicians, pharmacists, and clinical staff focused on substance-related care across a range of healthcare settings.

Dara is actively involved in several initiatives throughout metropolitan Detroit that address critical public health challenges. Her service includes participation in the Southeast Michigan Alliance for Addiction-Free Communities (SEEMAC) through the Michigan Public Health Institute, former advisory board membership for Hegira Health’s Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) program, and involvement in a legislative workgroup led by Michigan State Representative Phil Green.

Driven by both her professional expertise and a strong commitment to civic engagement, Dara co-founded the Northwest Wayne Chapter of Face Addiction Now (FAN) in 2017 to support local efforts in public awareness, information-sharing, and multi-sector collaboration. She also works extensively with Plymouth-Canton Community Schools, where she helped develop an Alternative to Suspension program for students—serving both those required to participate and those seeking additional education. Dara has supported this initiative through grant writing and by chairing the annual Round for Recovery golf outing held each September.

Dara is particularly passionate about fostering collaboration across healthcare, education, public safety, and legal sectors to improve coordination, outcomes, and support for individuals and families affected by substance-related challenges.
