
Dr. James Wierman is a board-certified internal medicine physician with over five decades of experience. He earned his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at Wayne State University. Dr. Wierman has served in various leadership roles, including Chief of Medicine at Ascension Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital, and has provided medical care both locally and internationally, including in Haiti and Rwanda.
A longtime advocate for community health, he founded the Cass County Free Health Clinic and has received numerous awards, including the Rotary International Service Award and the Michigan State Medical Society's Community Service Award. Dr. Wierman’s dedication to helping others drives his involvement with FAN, where he hopes to continue making an impact on individuals and families affected by addiction.
