
Dr. James Wierman is a board-certified internal medicine physician with over five decades of experience. He earned his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at Wayne State University. Dr. Wierman has held various leadership roles, including serving as Chief of Medicine at Ascension Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital. He has provided care both locally and internationally, including medical missions to Haiti and Rwanda.
Dedicated to expanding access to care, he founded the Cass County Free Health Clinic and has been honored with multiple awards, including the Rotary International Service Award and the Michigan State Medical Society's Community Service Award. Dr. Wierman’s commitment to serving others continues through his involvement with FAN, where he works to support individuals and families facing challenges related to addiction.
