Steve Parks serves as Judge of the 94th District Court. After taking office in 2015, he played a key role in creating the Delta County Drug/Sobriety Court—a successful program aimed at reducing repeat offenses by addressing the root causes of behavior among high-risk individuals. The program includes structured oversight and access to services for those working to overcome substance use challenges.
Prior to his judgeship, Judge Parks served for 10 years as a prosecuting attorney, during which he witnessed a sharp rise in prescription drug misuse in Delta County. In response, he co-founded the Coalition for Prescription Safety to help inform the public about the risks associated with certain medications. He also helped launch a local program to safely dispose of expired or unused prescriptions.
With nearly four decades in the legal field, Judge Parks has seen the serious impact of substance use on individuals, families, and the broader community. He is deeply committed to connecting people with practical tools and direction that can lead to long-term improvement and stability.
