Nicky is a nationally certified community health education specialist and trained recovery coach. She currently serves as the Opioid Health Home Coordinator with NorthCare Network, the managing agency for mental health and substance use services in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Nicky has worked in mental health since 2017 and began focusing on substance use services in 2019. Since 2014, she has drawn from her personal experiences to better understand the complexities of health and wellness.

“There’s more information available today about mental and emotional well-being than ever before,” Nicky says. “Understanding how different aspects of health connect really sparked my interest in continuing to learn—and in sharing that knowledge with others who want to learn, too.”
