
Kevin McLaughlin has lived a substance-free lifestyle for more than 20 years. Born in West Michigan, he lived in various parts of the country before settling in the Grant area. After years in the food industry, Kevin earned an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts from Grand Rapids Community College in 2002. He later spent 13 years working at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services as a residential food coordinator and group facilitator, where he combined his passion for food service and mentorship.
In 2013, Kevin became the Executive Director of Recovery Allies of West Michigan, a grassroots organization focused on building peer-led support networks. He is the founder of ART of Coaching Inc., where he leads workforce development trainings for peer professionals across the country. Kevin and his wife also own and operate a food truck called Sober Eats, which blends his love for food with a commitment to building connection and understanding around substance-related challenges.
Kevin and Joyce live with their five boys, a dog, a pony, six goats, and seven chickens.
