Dr. Peg Mathis is the Chief Program Officer for TrueNorth Community Services, located in Newaygo County. Dr. Mathis is a long-time educator who dedicated her career to students and families in the Fennville, Kenowa Hills, Ludington, and Newaygo school districts as a teacher, coach, and administrator. She served as the Superintendent of Newaygo Public Schools for 10 years before her retirement from public education. Following her 31.5 years in education, Dr. Mathis joined TrueNorth Community Services as the Chief Program Officer. There she oversees over 60 programs and plays a key role in the overall development, strategic planning, service delivery, and management of the TrueNorth organization across multiple sites and departments. Peg is passionate about working with the citizens and youth in the Newaygo County greater community and providing advocacy for rural people and programs.
