Lisa Treiber holds a B.S. in food and nutrition and is an extension educator with Michigan State University Extension. She has worked with them in the family and consumer science area for twenty years, specializing in food safety. Lisa and her husband Mark have a vested interest in the devastation the opioid epidemic is having on their community, having lost their son Andrew to an overdose in October of 2017. Since then, Lisa has joined Families Against Narcotics as a board member, spoken with her husband at several community programs (sharing Andy’s story), and works with a neighborhood task force called Neighbors Against Drug Abuse (NADA). Lisa's goal is to offer education to others, reduce the stigma many face, and let families know they are not alone.
