Lisa Treiber holds a B.S. in food and nutrition and is an extension educator with Michigan State University Extension. She has worked in the family and consumer sciences field for twenty years, specializing in food safety. Lisa and her husband Mark have a deeply personal connection to the impact of the opioid epidemic, having lost their son Andrew to an overdose in October 2017. Since then, Lisa has joined the board of Face Addiction Now, spoken alongside her husband at several local events to share Andy’s story, and participates in a local volunteer group called Neighbors Against Drug Abuse (NADA). Her goal is to provide helpful information, offer encouragement, and remind families that they don’t have to face these challenges alone.
