Monica Eriksen's family moved to Alger County in 2019, after she attended Northern Michigan University in 2009 and couldn’t wait to get back to the Upper Peninsula. A Registered Nurse with the Luce Mackinac Alger Schoolcraft (LMAS) District Health Department for their Harm Reduction Program, Eriksen's passion is helping people and eliminating the stigma of mental illness and substance use disorder.
